YESTERDAY, NICOLAS CAGE celebrated his 51st birthday.

In honour of the occasion, Twitter user Rob Auton implored the internet to upload pen-drawn portraits of the actor under the hashtag #bicolascage. (Get it?)

Naturally enough, the internet joined in and a trend was born.

There was this horrifying entry.

And this one.

As well as these priceless efforts. (Both are references to this insane scene from The Wicker Man.)

There was also this surprisingly decent drawing.

And this one that captures the size of his forehead quite nicely.
